Something

Something with a ringed tail has been eating our chickens
Something with a red tail has been stealing our chickens
Something with a ringed tail has been stealing the eggs
Something with a harsh voice has been drinking the eggs
Something with no legs has been eating the eggs
I used to think that little wild animals were cute
But I don't think that
Very much
Anymore

  1. Yeah, that's true! Ya know, Lauren, I used to call the sweet little creatures that I feed in my cozy yard, fudgy pudges - because they were soooo cute and 'needy' of my seed feed and water dish. But then - this year - I planted pots of green veges. THEY ATE THE LEAVES!!!! Well! That was it. I stopped feeding them. I figured it was nearly bug season anyway. So the cute little chirpers and fuzzy squirrels have taken their rightful place in the wilds. I still love their song, but enough already.
Great poem. How's the family? I miss you!!

  2. Hi Lauren!!

I'm so happy to see that you have posted recently. I keep checking the family blog but nothing new yet. So ask your mom to post and let all of us over here in CA know how things are going. Fun poem to read!

    Love,
