New Stage in Life || New Blog

Girl to Woman
Friend to Soon-to-be Wife

This is a busy blessed time. As I move from one stage of life to another, I also am moving to a new blog. From now on I will be posting on elegantlyashley.blogspot.com. On the new blog I hope to be posting more updates about wedding plans, thoughts and things which I am learning as I prepare for marriage. The Lord has blessed me with many wonderful friendships and Proverbs 31 women in my life, and I hope to pass on to you some of the things which He is teaching me through them.

Of Joyous Events

I celebrated last Christmas away from home in California with my dear friend Daniel. I will never forget that evening, the Eve of Christmas Eve. Most of Daniel's family was out doing last-minute Christmas shopping. Daniel and I were sitting in his living room talking quietly together. At one point in our conversation, he excused himself to another room (to call my Dad to ask for permission to propose). When Daniel came back he sat down, paused for just a second, and then asked. Simply, quietly, in his own words he asked. After a few moments of speechless joy, I answered yes.

It was perfect.

Technical Difficulties

The internet filter on my computer has been blocking Blogger for some reason, and even though I can blog from my iPad it is difficult. Hopefully I will be able to post again soon!

Update // Driving

Hello there!

I have sadly neglected this blog for quite a while now. So much has happened in the last nine months!

Mom is pregnant! I guess this is a bit of a late announcement, as we are expecting little Enoch Asher to come anytime now. We are all very excited to have another little sibling and baby Enoch will have plenty of attention from his seven older siblings.

Other memorable things (all of which involve road trips!)

// Driving up to Iowa to visit my great-grandparents for the first time in 9 years.

// Driving to the Voice of the Martyrs center in Oklahoma to hear Daniel Scot speak.

// Driving to the NCFIC White Unto Harvest conference in North Carolina with friends. Here is a blog post about it by my photographer friend Christina (who kindly let me use her camera for the picture above).

// Driving to a flag football game in San Antonio between the young men of my church and Vision Forum. (red is our church, blue is Vision Forum)

// Driving to California for Christmas… but that deserves a blog post all to itself.
